I normally wouldn't write a review of a product unless I immediately disliked it or I've given it enough time and uses to firm up my feelings on it but this sleeping bag really impressed me. From its weight, packability, design and perks, this has, thus far, been a well thought out product.I've taken it out on 2 excursions. One was a chilly night, the other was a rainy and chilly night. Both nights topped out at just above freezing and for both nights I was warm, comfortable, dry and attached to my Big Agnes Insulated Air Core Ultra pad.Very impressed with the zipperless design, placement of fill, build quality, pad sleeve and venting options. Price is also better than similar ultralight bags. Hope it lasts. Very happy with my purchase.Tried this bag in Oregon on the PCT. Way too cold of a bag to be rated as a 20 degree bag…did not even fare well in 40 degrees. My NEMO Disco 30 is much warmer. I did love the style and the slip in pouch for the sleeping pad, but returned it due to the lack of warmth. The Long version appears to lengthen the skinny lower leg area instead of the wider chest area. This results in unnecessary leg confinement. Top area felt great. The result is a really neat, roomy upper chest area, but confined/claustrophobic legs. Bummer. Sticking with my Spoon shaped bag from Nemo. Sierra Designs should make this zipper-less bag spoon shaped.I love how warm this bag is! The first night I used it the temperature dropped to 30, I was nice and snug the whole night. It's fluffy which I like because it feels more like an actual blanket like that. I also like the "no zip" feature. This featured allowed me to wrap up in the sleeping bag similar to how I sleep at home.My only complaint is that the bag smells HORRIBLE. Like so bad that it kept waking me up throughout the night. I need to wash it, dry it, and let it air out some more. My dad got the male version of this bag and his did not smell at all. So it may be a 50/50 chance of getting a bag that smells.I own lots of sleeping bags, multiple western mountaineering, feathered friends, marmot, and some of the cheaper brands such as klymit and Hyke and Byke. I am a gear junky. And I love this bag. It provides more internal room then all my other bags. There is no zipper and I actually find that to be more comfortable. It can let in a draft if you roll around some, but at least you can roll around. If you suffer from claustrophobia this bag may help ease your way into using a mummy style bag. I also found it to compact better then all my other 20 degree bags, it is super light, super compacting, and a great 3 season bag.Besides the lack of zipper there is also minimal down on the underside of the bag. Since sleeping on down compresses it and makes it useless this shouldn't affect the functionality of the bag. The removal of this down allows for a more smaller cubic volume when packed.Sierra design also has great warranty and customer service.Comfortable, warm, lightweight - everything I needed for my first backpacking trip. I highly recommend. This was my first down sleeping bag, and I really love how warm and comfortable it is. Plus, it is so light and compact in my backpack. The only downside with down is washing it, which I had to do after sleeping in a wind storm that blew dust and dirt into our tent. However, the bag did fine in the wash.Bought this for a six-day backpacking trip in the Sierra Nevadas this past June/July. It was a delight--soft and warm. I really liked the flexibility of the "comforter", as I am a side sleeper. I also liked the sleeve for the sleeping pad, as it helped keep the bag from twisting around as I moved throughout the night. It was pretty flexible across temperatures, too; much more so than my old synthetic bag. One night we had frost. As long as I had this covering my head, I was plenty warm. It also has a pocket where you can stick out your feet if you get too warm. I didn't use it, as my feet always run cold, but I appreciated the option.Just got back from a weeklong hike along Minnesota's North Shore and could not have been happier with my new sleeping bag! We had several cold nights - waking up to frost - but didn't notice a thing until I got out of this beauty. I love the no zipper feature - it's SO much more comfortable than my old mummy bag and way less constricting. Super lightweight and compresses down a ton. I love that it came with a much bigger mesh storage bag. If you have any doubts, get rid of them now. This is the real deal.
